5 Aug – First, he was crowned the 'Most Searched' on Yahoo! Taiwan. Now "Love Rain" actor Jang Geun-seuk has broken another record as the 'Most Followed Non-Chinese entertainer' on Chinese social networking site, Weibo.
According to Allkpop, on 31 July, representatives of the singer-actor reported that Jang has more than five million followers since 30 July.
The rep stated, "Jang Geun-suk leads with more than five million followers, far ahead of other non-Chinese stars, such as Tom Cruise, who is in second place with 4.4 million followers."
The achievement is considered an amazing one as Jang only set up his Weibo back in August last year. His followers exceeded 3 million in June when he guest starred in a Chinese television programme called "Happy Camp".
Meanwhile, Geun-seuk himself is currently on his Asian tour and set to perform in Shanghai on 11 August.
