[NEWS] Lucky Girl who Took Photos with Rain and Jang Keun Suk to Appear on ‘Korea’s Got Talent 2’

The little girl who boasted close ties with Rain and Jang Keun Suk, Lee Ji Oh, plans to make an appearance on tvN’s audition program Korea’s Got Talent 2.


Lee Ji Oh will perform on the June 15 broadcast of Korea’s Got Talent 2 as the Hula Girls. In the third episode of the show, she had gathered attention as the ‘beautiful girl of Geojedo’. 


She especially surprised the judges Park Kolleen, Jang Jin and Jang Hang Joon by revealing photos she took with the hallyu stars Rain and Jang Keun Suk.

An official from Korea’s Got Talent 2 said, “Lee Ji Oh’s aunt is a big fan of Rain. Last year, Rain invited some child patients to his concert, and Lee Ji Oh went to the Seoul concert at the time with her aunt. She took a picture with Rain backstage, and also with Jang Keun Suk, who happened to be near. Rain’s good deed and Jang Keun Suk’s friendliness all made issues. Please look forward to what talents Lee Ji Oh will show thanks to their care.”


Korea’s Got Talent 2 is an audition program that draws contestants to compete with their variety of talents for the 300 million won prize money.

[NEWS] Japan goes 'Crazy' over Jang Geun Suk

MANILA, Philippines - Despite that his latest Korean drama "Love Rain" tanked in the ratings, actor and singer Jang Geun Suk is finding redemption in Japan through his music.


Jang Geun Suk's popularity in Japan has skyrocketed since releasing his first Japanese single "Let Me Cry" last year.


When it was released in April last year, the single debuted at No. 1 on Oricon's daily chart and became No. 1 on the weekly singles chart with 119,149 copies sold.


This made him win as Best New Artist in the 26th Japan Gold Disc Awards held last January.


Jang Geun Suk repeated this feat when he released the Japanese album "Just Crazy" last May 30.


The album debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon daily singles chart with 53,000 copies sold. It again topped the weekly singles chart with 88,009 copies sold.


"Just Crazy" has so far sold 100,000 copies and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).


Jang Geun Suk will go to Japan on June 22 to shoot promotional video for two songs in the album, "Stay" and "Abracadabra." During his scheduled eight-day stay in Japan, he will also record for TV shows.


The actor will also release his Japanese cookbook titled "Jang Keun Suk Love Recipe" on June 10, which also includes a behind-the-scenes DVD.


Recently, the actor made headlines when he gave 120 staff of the "Love Rain" drama with 300,000 won (P11,000) each of gift certificates to show his appreciation for their hard work. The total gift certificates he distributed amounted to 36 million won (P1.31 million).


Jang Geun Suk will embark on his "Asia Tour: Cri Show 2" in July. The show will kick off in Seoul and will tour Japan, China, Taiwan and Thailand.

[NEWS] Jang Keun Suk starts ‘The Cri Show 2′ in Seoul

Actor Jang Keun Suk will start touring Asia in Seoul.


On June 14, Jang’s agency, Tree J. Company, said that he ’2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour’ will start on July 7 at Korea University in Seoul.


The news has already made many Korean fans and Asian fans excited and purchase the tickets in advance. The tickets for the tour will start being on sale on June 14 at 8 o’clock by Auction in Korea and on June 18 at 8 o’clock abroad.


This is the first time for Jang to start his Asia tour in Seoul. Since he worked harder to give upgraded performance, he is ready to show everything about him at the concert and made many people eagerly anticipate the concert.


He is planning to sing his new songs, including, the tile song “Crazy Crazy Crazy,” “Abracadabra,” and “Stay” from his Japanese official album Just Crazy, which ranked first on the Oricon daily and weekly chart and fourth on the United World chart.


Then he will tour 4 Japanese cities (Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka) and Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Thailand.

[NEWS] Jang Keun Suk to Embark on Second Asia Tour

The ‘Prince of Asia’ again plans to swallow Asia whole with his tour that will start at Seoul’s Korea University on July 7.


The tickets for the Seoul concert of Jang Keun Suk’s second Asia tour, The Cri Show 2, will be open for sale on June 14 through Auction.

At news that his new tour will be starting in Korea, fans inside and outside Korea have been clamoring to get tickets for the show. The tickets will open in Korea on June 14, while those for overseas fans will be made available on June 18.


This is actually the first time Jang Keun Suk will be starting his Asia tour in Seoul, and because he has said he put all his effort in making the show a better one than his previous ones, he’s expected to open up everything about him there is to see through the Seoul concert.


He plans to perform his many singles rarely performed in Korea such as Crazy Crazy Crazy, Abracadabra and Stay from his record-breaking Japanese album Just Crazy, making the show even more special for his fans in Korea. 


Just Crazy was a great success in the country, rising to the top of the Oricon Daily Chart, Weekly Chart and no. 4 on the United World Chart.


Jang Keun Suk started performing in his Asia tours since 2010, and is a leader in his own specialized form of performances. The show involves a musical-like performance that draws together song and story, and lets him communicate with his fans in his own unique way outside of his songs.


The 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour – The Cri Show 2 will course through four cities in Japan—Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka—Shanghai and Shenzhen in China, Taiwan and Thailand.

[NEWS] JKS holds record-breaking ‘Weibo’ live interview with over 300,000 questions!

 Asia Prince Jang Keun Suk recently finished his Love Rain drama in Korea and also managed to steal the top place in Oricon Chart of Japan with his debut album “Just Crazy.” Thus, it was with bated breath that many Eels looked forward to Jang Keun Suk’s live interview with fans in Weibo, a social networking site based in China.


Jang was scheduled to attend this interview for an hour from 4-5 pm today and had left to China for this special occasion. After conquering Japan did Asia Prince manage to capture China?


YES! He did!! With a whooping record of 312,578 questions in one hour and 15 minutes. The original interview scheduled for 1 hour was extended for a period of 15 minutes to control the traffic and to give all the eager fans a chance.

Weibo Live Conference is an interesting place where the fans can directly question the Star. Previously Korean Actor Lee Min Ho  had such a live interview last year where he garnered 13,500 questions in an hour. But, Jang Keun Suk beat this record by a long margin.


The previous record held in weibo live conference was by MayDay, a Taiwanese band, who managed to reel in 200,000+ questions. Seems Asia Prince broke both his fellow colleague’s record and the overall record held by Weibo too.


Another interesting detail was Jang Keun Suk managed to answer only 56 question out of 312,578 questions but he showed complete involvement by acting out the request of fans in those questions. He changed his profile picture in Weibo and he also uploaded a photo of himself based on the fans’ requests.


He also managed to attract 7000+ new followers within that brief period one hour interview time. Jang Keun Suk’s weibo account had more than three million followers previously and the new 7000+ members were very welcome indeed.


Fans were quite amazed by this new record and were very much happy to know that Asia Prince’s power extends very much into China too.
