[NEWS] Jang Keun Suk to Stand on Stage at the Upcoming Outdoor Electronic Music Festival UMF

Come this August, Jang Keun Suk will be rubbing shoulders with some of the world’s biggest electronic music DJs and artists.


Ultra Music Festival Korea (UMF) announced its additional lineup on June 29 revealing the singer/actor had been included. ULF Korea will be held for two days on August 3 and 4 at Seoul’s Jamsil Indoors Stadium. Featuring the world’s hottest electronic music DJs and artists, the confirmed lineup already includes Skrillex, Tiesto, Steve Aoki, John Digweed and more.


Jang Keun Suk was invited as a special guest by Team H, though details of their performance has not yet been revealed.

With 44 artists and DJs already confirmed and more to come, UMF Korea will be the first of its kind to be held in Asia.

[NEWS] Prince of Asia to greet fans in Busan

Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk, also known as the Prince of Asia, will meet with some 1,500 loyal fans at the “Sweet Party with Jang Keun-suk” fan meet tomorrow at the Lotte Hotel in Busan.


While the event is being held in Korea, Japanese fans won’t let a little distance get in the way as many have booked flights in advance in order to attend the event.


According to Lotte Hotel, fans from Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka as well as other regions in Japan are expected to take part in the fan meeting.


To cater to the surge of Japanese fans arriving for the event, a plane has been chartered to fly directly from Tokyo to Busan.


There will be some 45 shuttle buses awaiting the fans at Gimhae International Airport to transport them to the hotel.


Once they’ve arrived, Jang’s fans will be treated to a two-hour event complete with a mini-concert and photo and signing sessions. A complimentary CD will be handed out as a parting gift.

[NEWS] Jang Keun Suk captures Japanese entertainment programs

Actor Jang Keun Suk recently appealed to the public by appearing on several Japanese programs.


On June 28, according to Jang’s agency, Jang visited Japan on June 22 and appeared on several popular entertainment programs.


He appeared on music programs Fuji TV’s Hey! Hey! Hey! and NHK’s Music Japan to perform live. He also appeared on several popular talk shows including Asahi TV’s Tetsuko’s Room and proved that he is one of the hottest stars in Japan.


When Jang appeared on Tetsuko’s Room, it seemed like he doesn’t need an interpreter because he spoke in fluent Japanese during the entire show.


Tetsuko Kuroganagi, famous MC for the show, which has been airing for 37 years and only top stars can appear on, was impressed by Jang. After the show, she gave Jang a piece of candy, which is well known as her trademark that she doesn’t give to even famous Japanese entertainers. She also took a picture intimately with Jang and surprised the entire crew.

[NEWS] Jang Keun Suk donates 2 million won for 20 students each

Actor Jang Keun Suk’s love for new students became a hot issue.


In the episode of TV Chosun’s The Trend that aired on June 10, the popular segment titled “Made In” covered Jang Keun Suk and his school life at Hanyang University told by professor Choi Young In.


The professor began with compliment, “He’s a celebrity and an enthusiastic student before all the others. Despite his reputation as a Hallyu star, he is an easygoing person.


Last year, we provided 2 million won scholarship for 20 students each, only by the interest of Keun Suk’s payment to school. We decided not to use the principal he had donated. Who would give such amount of money for school?” She continued to talk about his love for younger students at school.


Also, a friend of Jang at university shared the star’s free life at school. He said that Jang organized a school festival himself and created a club in which he danced with actor Ha Suk Jin who enrolled in the same year. Jang’s friend revealed the video of their dance.

BoA and Jang Keun Suk have discovered they both have received the same gift from Park Jin Young.


On June 25, BoA tweeted, “Today the JYP headphone arrived in my hands! I tried to find oppa’s sign but among the 100, I haven’t been able to find which one it is yet. Thank you, oppa.” The singer also included a picture of the special JYP-Monster-collaborated edition of the ‘diamond tears’ head phones.

I just arrived at Nippon Television. When I got on an elevator, a big group was getting on it, too. I wondered it was rare this early in the morning, I found it’s Mr. Jang Keun Suk. It was a big surprise. I can’t believe such a coincidental event happened in showbiz!? He can’t have known me, so that I didn’t say hi to him. Instead, I glimpsed him about 147 times while I was on the elevator with him.
