[NEWS] Jang Keun Suk Performs in Front of 20,000 Fans




Jang Keun Suk continued his successful Asia tour concert with a 22,000-member audience in Yokohama.


His “2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour – The Cri Show 2″ was held on July 21 and 22, selling out all 11,000 seats for each concert.


L’arc en Ciel’s Hyde, whom Jang Keun Suk has often picked as his favorite artist and friend, was there to watch the concert.


Twenty one large flower wreaths from soccer player Hidetoshi Nakata, famous celebrities and Japanese television programs were set up to congratulate him on his concert and a photo event titled ‘Zikzin (go straight) to World Prince’ was also put on display by his official fanclub in celebration.


Many fans gathered to watch the actor/singer perform in his first Japanese performance for his 2012 Asia tour, including a woman in her 60s who had a son about Jang Keun Suk’s age, a 10-year-old boy who said he was a member of Jang Keun Suk’s fanclub, a male fan who continued to shout out to him for attention and a woman in her 40s who came in a wheelchair.


Fans were especially excited about the concert because it included Jang Keun Suk’s first performance of his first studio album, which topped the Oricon Daily and Weekly Charts.


Just before the concert fans even got to watch the music video for Stay, a track from Jang Keun Suk’s first Japan studio album Just Crazy.


When the curtain finally rose, Jang Keun Suk’s ‘Magic World’ opened its doors to help find the lost fantasies of adults, and the magician Jang Keun Suk appeared, singing 200 Miles from his first Japan album.


He then sang “Take Care, My Bus”, “Let Me Cry” and “Stay” and said after his performances, “I wrote the lyrics for this song. It’s been a long time, right?”


He emphasized that the concert would be different from his previous concert in August 2011 as an actor of “Mary Stayed Out All Night” and had his fans cheering when he said, “Now I’ve become a singer.”


He also surprised them with news that he would be holding another Saitama Arena concert in November, due to the many requests from fans.


The Yokohama concert used the splendid stage effects of The Cri Show 2 as well as it could and showed how the actor/singer had matured with 150 minutes of perfect, live performances.


Jang Keun Suk will continue to tour through Asia, hitting up five cities in Japan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan and Thailand.
