[TWITTER UPDATE] 6/13/2012 Jang Keun Suk and Staff Twitter

I sometimes act like a fool. I admit I’m mischievous enough that there are some people in show biz who try to avoid me. But… at least I want to be a true Korean Prince of Asia for the sake of my country, not for the dishonor of my country… well, that’s kind of stuff. Anyway, it’s much harder to get rid of my baby-like-chubby belly than I imagined.

Staff: When did you disgrace your country?… What happened to you even in the daytime!!! I wonder it might be hard to do exercise for the baby-like-chubby belly ….

JKS: I just felt proud when I saw my holding a Korean national flag in Shanghai. hu hu.

Staff: It sounds like you’re Prince of Asia! You’re Korean pride!! You are none other than youT T

“@minzzangde: @AsiaPrince_JKS 언제 나라 망신 시킨적있니?… 낮부터 왜그래!!! 아가배가 많이 힘든거니 ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ”ㅡ상하이에서 태극기 들고 있는 사진보니까 넘 자랑스러워서ㅎㅎㅡ역시 아시아프린스답다! 너님은 한국의 자랑!! 니몸이 니몸이 아님ㅠ

Restaurant owner: Keun-suk.. You’re like an angel of the show biz. Keep going as you are.. !

JKS: Yeah!! Go Straight!!

“@Naosnova: @AsiaPrince_JKS 근석아.. 너는 연예계의 천사급이야.. 지금같이만 해.. 쭈욱!”ㅡ응!! 직진!!

Staff: JKS, the concert tour for Asian countries starts on July 7th. Well…It’s not CRY SHOW…

JKS: How many times I have to tell you..? Why you’re crying??? It’s CRI SHOW!!!!!

“@codeinconnu: 장근석, 7월7일 서울서 亞콘서트투어 포문 http://me2.do/Fbcm55x 저기… 크라이쇼 아니거든요… ㅠㅁ ㅠ”ㅡ도대체 몇번을 얘기하는건가..쇼가서 울어??? 크리쇼라규!!!!!

Restaurant owner: By the way, what is the baby-like-chubby belly? Baby boat?

JKS: It’s visceral fat caused by drinking alcohol… This is also the project headed straight now.

“@Naosnova: @AsiaPrince_JKS 근대 아가배는 뭐야? 베이비 보트?”ㅡ술로 인해 생긴 내장지방…이것도 프로젝트 직진중

It’s time to go back to Korea~~~ Go To Incheon Right now!!

[NEWS] Japan goes 'Crazy' over Jang Geun Suk

MANILA, Philippines - Despite that his latest Korean drama "Love Rain" tanked in the ratings, actor and singer Jang Geun Suk is finding redemption in Japan through his music.

Jang Geun Suk's popularity in Japan has skyrocketed since releasing his first Japanese single "Let Me Cry" last year.

When it was released in April last year, the single debuted at No. 1 on Oricon's daily chart and became No. 1 on the weekly singles chart with 119,149 copies sold.

This made him win as Best New Artist in the 26th Japan Gold Disc Awards held last January.

Jang Geun Suk repeated this feat when he released the Japanese album "Just Crazy" last May 30.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon daily singles chart with 53,000 copies sold. It again topped the weekly singles chart with 88,009 copies sold.

"Just Crazy" has so far sold 100,000 copies and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).

Jang Geun Suk will go to Japan on June 22 to shoot promotional video for two songs in the album, "Stay" and "Abracadabra." During his scheduled eight-day stay in Japan, he will also record for TV shows.

The actor will also release his Japanese cookbook titled "Jang Keun Suk Love Recipe" on June 10, which also includes a behind-the-scenes DVD.

Recently, the actor made headlines when he gave 120 staff of the "Love Rain" drama with 300,000 won (P11,000) each of gift certificates to show his appreciation for their hard work. The total gift certificates he distributed amounted to 36 million won (P1.31 million).

[NEWS] JKS holds record-breaking ‘Weibo’ live interview with over 300,000 questions!

Asia Prince Jang Keun Suk recently finished his Love Rain drama in Korea and also managed to steal the top place in Oricon Chart of Japan with his debut album “Just Crazy.” Thus, it was with bated breath that many Eels looked forward to Jang Keun Suk’s live interview with fans in Weibo, a social networking site based in China.

Jang was scheduled to attend this interview for an hour from 4-5 pm today and had left to China for this special occasion. After conquering Japan did Asia Prince manage to capture China?

YES! He did!! With a whooping record of 312,578 questions in one hour and 15 minutes. The original interview scheduled for 1 hour was extended for a period of 15 minutes to control the traffic and to give all the eager fans a chance.

Weibo Live Conference is an interesting place where the fans can directly question the Star. Previously Korean Actor Lee Min Ho  had such a live interview last year where he garnered 13,500 questions in an hour. But, Jang Keun Suk beat this record by a long margin.

The previous record held in weibo live conference was by MayDay, a Taiwanese band, who managed to reel in 200,000+ questions. Seems Asia Prince broke both his fellow colleague’s record and the overall record held by Weibo too.

Another interesting detail was Jang Keun Suk managed to answer only 56 question out of 312,578 questions but he showed complete involvement by acting out the request of fans in those questions. He changed his profile picture in Weibo and he also uploaded a photo of himself based on the fans’ requests.

He also managed to attract 7000+ new followers within that brief period one hour interview time. Jang Keun Suk’s weibo account had more than three million followers previously and the new 7000+ members were very welcome indeed.

Fans were quite amazed by this new record and were very much happy to know that Asia Prince’s power extends very much into China too.

Netizens commented,

WOW!! Only Asia Prince can create a record even in Weibo conference.
I love his witty responses!
Jang Keun Suk So funny!!Are you really poor?hahaha
Daebak Prince first Oricon and now Weibo..keep it up!
Asia Prince is scheduled to start his Cri Show 2 very soon next month which includes various cities in Japan,China etc. Fans are very much excited for this show as Jang Keun Suk is reported to perform songs from his hit “Just Crazy” album and there is supposed to be an altogether different concept for this year’s Cri Show.

[NEWS] Girls Generation YoonA Gifts “Love Rain” Staff with Vitamins

It’s been belatedly revealed that Girls’ Generation’s YoonA presented the crew of her drama “Love Rain” with vitamins to express her gratitude. Several photos of YoonA handing out shopping bags full of vitamins were shared on various online communities.

According to the post, YoonA’s gift came with a card, which read, “Thank you really for all the hard work. I’m very grateful to every single staff member. Thank you for portraying Hana [YoonA] so beautifully. I had so much fun meeting such great people. Thank you for all of your time and hard work. Always take care of your health.”

Netizens commented, “First Jang Geun Suk, now YoonA. Everyone’s so considerate,” “They all look so close,” “Such a sweet angel,” and more.

“Love Rain” is a melo-love story set in two different periods – the 1970s and 2012. Jang Geun Suk and YoonA play Seo In Ha and Kim Yoon Hee, two college students who fall in love with each other in the 1970s; unfortunately, the two do not get their happily ever after. Fast forward to the present, Seo Joon, In Ha’s son (also played by Jang Geun Suk) meets and falls in love with Ha Na, Yoon Hee’s daughter (also played by YoonA). Jang Geun Suk’s 1970s Seo In Ha is a romantic arts student who is willing to lay down his life for the love of his life. His son Seo Joon, on the other hand, is a carefree photographer who enjoys a freewheeling lifestyle. YoonA’s 1970s Kim Yoon Hee is a pure, elegant “campus goddess,” while her daughter Ha Na is a bright and lovable character.

[NEWS] Jang Geun Suk’s Gift Worth 36 Million Won to “Love Rain” Staff

Jang Geun Suk showed his appreciation to all the “Love Rain” production staff with gift certificates worth over 36 million won (approx. $30,000 USD), local media OSEN reported on June 11.

An official from the “Love Rain” producers told OSEN, “Jang Geun Suk gave a 300,000 won ($300 USD) gift certificate to each of the 120 staff members to celebrate the end of ‘Love Rain.’”

“Jang Geun Suk wanted to give a special gift to all the staff who worked so hard for the entire drama series. Another official was quoted as saying, “You don’t see an actor present such a special gift too often. It’s worth a lot of money too, but we thought it was very Jang Geun Suk-style to find a gift that’s not too fancy or too boring.”

Meanwhile, Jang Geun Suk is planning to continue his “The CRI Show 2” in July, starting from Seoul and four cities in Japan, including Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka. His first Japanese regular album, “Just Crazy,” hit #1 on both the Oricon’s daily chart and weekly chart.
