2010 During Jang Keun Suk’s Fan Meeting (FM) in Fukuoka, a Japanese eel wrote “ Jang Keun Suk, I love you.” on the beach in front of the hotel he was staying. When Jang Keun Suk saw it after he woke up in the morning, he was touched by the scene in front of him. At that time, he had 3000 audiences in his FM. After two years, now this Japanese eel got a “super seating” that she could see Jang Keun Suk in a very close distance. And she and her friends wrote message on the beach again.

That eel was worried if Jang Keun Suk had seen the message or not, but she was shy to say it on twitter. So she made two board signs, first day show, the sign said: “Please send flying kisses to me” “Our Prince is the best!!!” Second day, the sign was “Did you look at beach?” When he was singing the song “Tomorrow”, Jang Keun Suk started to walked around stage, he saw the sign and he was surprised. He smiled and nodded, also gave a OK sign and fly kisses. The audiences around that eel all said to her: Congratulations!

The Japanese eel was touched, after two years, he still remembers, he remembered to look at the beach! That day morning there were about over 10 men walking on the beach where they left message, she was worried that the words would be erased, but later on she learnt that Jang Keun Suk couldn’t see clearly in the room. He sent dancers out to confirm it. Such a nice star, is there a second one like that?

On the fist day of the Cri Show in Fukuoka, Jang Keun Suk asked: Is there anyone who was at my FM two years ago?” In two years, there are changes in fan groups, and he, till today, his fame, his sensation, two years ago there is no comparison to this, but Jang Keun Suk himself did not change. His frivolous is not like he has it just now, no matter what have past, he is he. Because of that, that’s why we are following him.

[Fan Account] 20/7/2012 Words from JKS on Cri Show 2 in Fukuoka Day 2

Day 2

Before I am just an actor, organized fan meeting to sing just a few songs and then have a talk show session with fans. But I started to plan for Cri Show last year after becoming a singer. This year is Cri Show 2. Yesterday mama asked me how long would I want to do Cri Show continuously? I said next year will be Cri Show 3, Cri Show 4, Cri Show5 etc.. It would be great if I can continue like this, when I have Cri Show 10, it will be my 30th anniversary of my debut.

Sometimes I will put on a suit and go to the company, just as a president of the company go to work, but I always argue with the staff (laughs). I was once told by others that is not good for my image, is better not to do that. Actually when I was younger, I’m always running away from my mom, I don’t think I have changed till now. (audience laughed).

Before I ran away all the time to the stores to play with noona (older sisters) there. Everybody has things that they want to do and please cherish your own dreams too. Although mom is scary, but I will still go to the company to argue. Recently although I’m always seen travelling around and having fun with friends, but my health condition is not too good, I always have cold hands and cold feet, who can help me to keep me warm? (Eels shouted I WANT / ME!)

In fact, my whole family love drinking. I’m a self acclaimed good drinker who does not lose to anyone except to Mom and Dad. When 3 of us got drunk, we will always repeat the same topic, for example, the things during I was studying in New Zealand and we will keep it going on and on. I normally will stop drinking when getting drunk while drinking with my parents, because you won’t know what will happen next. But dad can still continue with friends for a 2nd drinking session! This is my family.

Note: We all know he has a loving and supportive parents and a great family. Remember he shouted out during Team H New Year’s Show in Tokyo? He said twice in English: Mother and Father, I love you!!! Have not been feeling well recently. I am also a human. That night after came back from Paris, unable to sleep and drank soju alone at home, parents were asleep. Felt lonely and wanted to talk to someone, so I thought of eels. Midnight send out an App, everyone seen it right? Eventually feeling drunk and getting more lonely and went to my room, switched on my computer, on my bed, logged in to the music broadcast channel (eumbang) and broadcasted some music. Only later then remember that Japanese eels were unable to obtain the site ID in Korea, time is already in the night at 4 at night.. (Eels reminded him: that’s morning!!!) I think Japanese eels also want to have a music broadcast station right? I will find a Japanese site and organize one, but I will only login when I am drunk. (Laugh) and when I’m drunk, I will say nasty things, so please don’t hate me. In fact all of us are the same; there are times when we feel lonely. Everyone is in love, but I have never been in love. Autumn bring about the feeling of loneliness to people, that is why I do not like autumn. I hope this nasty autumn can end earlier. Next summer, lets all go camping together next summer! [Fan Account] 10/3/2012 JKS Leave Paris Back to Korea (Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport)

First, I see Gunsama pushed a cart walking by. I waved to him, he nodded back to me, and behind him that was Jang Keun Suk pushed the cart walking slowly. There was no one beside him. He was without any make up but his has a delicate face, his skin is a bit pale, just look like his weibo profile picture.

Later I came up to him said Hello in Korean, and asked if I can get his autograph, he pointed to his luggage cart and said to me: “check in first”. His voice is magnetic. He went forward then I said to him that I will wait for him. He looked back. There is a corridor between us. He and Gunsama took a while to check in then they pushed the cart to VIP check in, it took a while as well, there was nobody behind them. So I took a picture from the back.

Some eel suggested that we keep more distance with him, we moved back further, actually there was no one in front of us and behind him. Because VIP was separate with Economy class, there was only two of them were checking there at last. During checking in, he looked back at us, he must think why we standed so far away lol. After a while, he finished and pushed the empty cart walked towards us. Then he started to sign the autographs.

I grabbed the chance went to him, gave him the notebook and pen, he signed for me first, I used a same iPhone with white cover just like his to show him how to spell my name: “It’s my name”. He signed halfway and looked at iPhone to see my tiny name typing in there. I forgot if I thanked him or not because there were two French girls asked for paper from me, I had to turn back and answered them.

Jang Keun Suk kept signing autographs for others with my pen, the autographs for those two French girls were also on my notebook, so there were 3 autographs on my notebook. He signed about 5 of them, me and other 4 French girls. Only mine is with my name on it. Then he walked towards customs and waved back to us.

I was about to go back after he waved, thought that was it. But when I walked back halfway, I found out only myself left, all the others were still standing there to see him off. Because he was at customs for quite a while, so I stayed until he was done with customs and went inside. There were something happened but since the words limit on weibo, I just skip them here.

Jang Keun Suk fountain photoshoot in Berlin

I walked through Berlin a lot yesterday and today. Since Monday I can’t concentrate on the city itself^^

But Berlin is so big. I was so tired I wanted to go back to my hotel to sleep.

Then I saw a bus from the same travel agency as the one who was at the airport. This one today was not that big, the door was open.

Suddenly Jang Keun Suk crossed the pavement in front of my eyes and went on the bus.

That was so unexpected. My heart began racing fast immediately. I saw MJ near the bus too and then I knew I didn’t imagine this was happening ^^

I sat down by a pillar and waited. After a while he came out of the bus and went with his staff to the fountain. I followed them and sat down on a stone wall near the fountain.

Zo Sun Hi and staff worked with him to do the pose by the fountain, then Zo Sun Hi took photos, MJ took photos too XD. There were few people around the fountain who starred at him because of the photoshoot. Then he looked at me and said Annyeong and waved to me. My heart was racing, I was so excited. ^^. I’m a shy person… to see him look only at me… All I could do was smiling and waving him back. 

More photoshoot has been done. When the shoot on the fountain was over, he smoked a little bit after the last shot and talked with MJ while walking back to the bus. He went on the bus and get changed (I assume lol.) I didn’t see him come out of the bus after this. But then there he was, he opened the curtain a bit and looked at me, he waved and then made this sign with bending middle and index finger two times. How cute! Then the staff went on the bus and I waved them goodbye ^^

He seems not so tired and was being professional during shooting. The shooting was about 15 minutes long. After this I tried to follow the bus slowly but of course I lost him. Somehow I walked into circle and ended up at the fountain again. I took photo of the fountain, my favorite fountain. ^^

[Fan Account] 9/23/2012 Welcome Prince at Schoenefeld airport, Berlin

It´s still early moring here 7:30. Found a free PC in the lobby, it’s much easier here than writing on Handy xD
Yesterday I was early at the airport and thanks to Sabina waiting time flew by fast. Only half an hour before his plane was landing I found other eels. Then eels seemed to pop out of nowhere and suddenly we were 10. There were also a few Asian looking eels. The representative spoke with us and someone made a photo with us, but don’t know where the photo will be used.

When Sukkie came out of the Terminal he went really fast through the airport, to escape to the bus xD

He seemed really surprised that there are so many eels waiting for him. Though he seemed really tired he waved to us and smiled^^ He looked so cute  He had the hood of the coat put over his head in the bus and hid his face between the front seast only to look at the us in the next second again.

When the bus departed, the korean representative said to us he will come again in 10 minutes, because other staff members had to enter too. The eels who stayed are the eels on Cherrys twitter photo.

When the bus came back we first couldn’t see Sukkie only Cherry, guess he lied down on the seats or something. After a while he showed his face, greeted us and smiled. We waited patiently, some made photos and then the door of the bus opend and Sukkie stood up and came to the door. He asked us how we knew his flight details^^ We asked him for autographs and he agreed. He sat down in the bus on the steps leading in.

I was lucky because I was near the door, he had not time to give everyone an autograph. When he began signing all eels came to the door and suddenly there was Gunsama standing beside me (I´m not so sure about his staff yet, but from your messages I conclude it was him) He said that now no photos allowed.

Then I gave him my Just Crazy CD. He looked surprised and while opening it and taking out the cover he asked where I get it from? I said from Internet and he meant then: wow, it’s a great world. After signing I said thank you in korean and let other eels to the front. By the way his skin looks really soft, kind of screaming to others: Come and touch me, poor guy xD

His English sounds pretty good. Truly world prince^^

Someone asked the representative who was waiting next to the bus door, how long he will stay in Berlin. She answered he will be in Berlin for four days, and Friday leaving. An other eels gave him a card from a restaurant in Berlin and asked him to come there. He said yes, why not. I’m not sure about the restauranr name, began with a M.
When the staff was in the bus (why were there so many?) he went back in and waved good bye to us. Then the bus departed.

It´s getting too much text for this PC^^ Hope you like it. I will never forget this day  Thank you all for your support, without ECI this wouldn´t have been possible^^

Frankly speaking, my image of Jang Keun Suk proved wrong. I really wish he will continue this path for music. I totally don’t know him. I only thought he was just an Hallyu star. I was not a fan of Jang Keun Suk, but I went to see his stage because I feel some similarities between Tamamori (He played the same role in YAB Japanese version) and him. To my surprise, he himself as well as the performance was so cool and I fell in love ♥ I’ve attended SUMMER SONIC for 10 years, but it was the first time I experienced that the performance was paused because the audience heated up.

[ARTICLE] Jang Keun Suk In My Eyes

Note: This is a must read article for those who want to know more about Jang Keun Suk. The person who write this article is not an eel (a Jang Keun Suk’s fan) and he is a male, his view is pretty objectively from a outsider to see Jang Keun Suk. Thanks to Wendy Yeo translated this good article for us.

The Jang Keun Suk in my eyes

- written after Cri Show 2012.8.11 in Shanghai

8th November 2011. 7.30pm. Jang Keun Suk Cri Show II at Mercedes-Benz Arena. Thankfully for Tong Yi Orange Juice Enterprise, which has the exclusive privilege of sponsoring for the Cri Show II, I have a chance to be able to attend the concert as one of the staff. It was very honorable to be able to experience Jang Keun Suk’s amazing charm.

Prior to endorsing Tong Yi Orange Juice, I have no knowledge of Jang Keun Suk’s news. Eventually, I came to understand his sincerity, cuteness, frankness, outgoing and confidence personality. Today in the concert, I see a Jang Keun Suk who is positive, hardworking, full of characters and fought his way up, step by step, ambitiously.

1. Knowing Jang Keun Suk

1. Advertisement shoots – He is a cheeky boy.

Although I am not so lucky to be able to work with Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young for the advertisement shoots, many other staff involved shared their experiences. Let me summarise as such:

He is a very amiable artist who does not have the usual “artist’s airs”. During the shooting, he was very professional. He did not get into a fit even if it required him to work overtime till late night due to unforeseen circumstances. In fact, he insisted in completing the shots to perfection. His cheekiness and frankness filled the air and everyone around him felt comfortable and happy. He is such a big boy. From the photographs taken, he was rich in his expressions. In fact, I had overheard the manager “sighed” while he was selecting the photographs for the event. Jang Keun Suk was too expressive. He did not know exactly which one to choose as all of them were filled with his rich expression. On the contrary, Park Min Young’s demureness might seem to be a little reserved (Well, she did many cute shots too!). And because of these differences, Jang Keun Suk’s expression seems “exaggerated”, especially placing him beside Park Min Young. Thank goodness for the quantity of photographs taken, there were enough prints to be used.

2. Tong Yi Press Conference – His powerful hugs

Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young were present at the press conference in Beijing for their endorsement of the product as well as the official listing. We arranged and organised some fans who were able to interact with the two artistes on stage.

Two very lucky fans were selected by Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young respectively. In this segment, they were invited to the stage to be with their idols in close proximity. The two fans shed tears of excitement when this unexpected lady luck befell upon them.

In the next segment, there were two very special fans – a 53 years old Aunty and a 12 years old, youngest fan (This 12 years old fans burned midnight oil to write a very long, touching letter expressing her love for Park Min Young. She begged us not to disqualify her eligibility to join in the contest because of her age. The letter touched us tremendously and she participated the event with a guardian). The presence of the two fans showed the level of popularity of Jang Keun Suk and Park Min Young.

“您好”! (Hi!) Jang Keun Suk greeted the two fans in his newly acquired Mandarin and he gave them a tight hug. You can tell his sincerity and passion as he hugged them with strength. Throughout the interactions, the two artistes were humble. The audiences who went to the event were immersed in the constant laughter and sincere greetings of the two artistes. Comparing the two, Park Min Young appeared to be more reserved. She was relatively more polite in giving the hugs to the fans comparing to Jang Keun Suk’s warm hugs. At the end of the event, they took photographs together and our prince was very cooperative too.

3. Happy Camp’s Jang Keun Suk – Honest and popular Prince

Jang Keun Suk presented the playful side of him at Happy Camp. The deepest impression I had was Jang Keun Suk fell to his feet and sat under the table when he “created” the huge foam. I really could not help but say that our Mr Handsome was really too cute O∩_∩)O! Not forgetting his signature dance moves – right hand on the floor, legs wide open and he moved up and down with his buttock. Everyone could not help but laugh at his cheekiness. Likewise, he was laughing at his own cheekiness and playfulness even though he had done that for many times. You will definitely be drawn to him due to his cheerfulness. Also, when Ho Ling took out a bottle of Tong Yi orange juice (without the label), Handsome Jang pointed to the bottle and said immediately, in all innocence, “Tong Yi Orange juice, more c more beauty!” Everyone was shocked that he could recognize the drink with label! He is so straightforward – Noticed the drink and shouted out his lines. It was just so simple for him.

According to the reports on 16th June, Happy Camp – Jang Keun Suk Special came in first, surpassing the ratings for the inaugural Shanghai International Film Festival which had 400 over international artistes. With an audience rating of 2.54% and television viewing rate of 6.49% (CSN Chinese media search official statistics), Happy Camp with Jang Keun Suk became the winner! On 10th August 2012, Jang Keun Suk was a guest in Weibo to do an exclusive interview with his fans pertaining to his 2012 Cri Show II in Shanghai which would be on 11th August. Once again, Jang Keun Suk beat the records. A mere one hour of brief interview, there were 42 000 questions asked. Jang Keun Suk’s popularity is evident.

4. Being womanly

I know people around me and many others commented that he is very womanly, or to be very curt, could not tell if he is a man or woman from prints. I want to give my two cents:

1. Deep in JKS, he is definitely not womanly. He has the innocence of a child.

2. JKS’ look is not womanly. In fact, he is handsome to the point of being beautiful.

During the discussion via Weibo on 10th August, someone mentioned of his unfulfilled wish. He replied cheekily, “Ladies Bath”. Another netizen asked him where he would go to if he was given a chance to teleport. Jang Keun Suk immediately replied, “Back to the time when I was 4 years old then into the Ladies Bath! Ha Ha!” At this juncture, some netizens suggested to Jang Keun Suk to impersonate as a lady to go into the ladies’ bath since he looks beautiful. Jang Keun Suk rebuked, “There’s something you people don’t seem to get it right. I’m straight! A MAN!” We could tell how cheeky his reply was and at the same time, humoured his eels. 2. Cri Shows Live

1. Communication: Do not take photographs. Look into my eyes.

Regarding to the issues of photography in his Cri Show by many of his fans, Jang Keun Suk communicated with sincere which was really touching. He told them if they really had to take pictures of him, he would not stop them. However, he hoped to look into their eyes to communicate with them. He mentioned that he likes the feeling of looking into each other’s eyes. He would like his fans to use their eyes to watch, ears to listen, heart to feel and not just busy with the pictures. Thus, neglecting they are physically with the real Jang Keun Suk. That would kill the happy atmosphere and reduce the joy of realism.

Jang Keun Suk’s way of communicating with everybody at the concert deeply touched me. I can sense he was really sincere. Hopefully one day, his Mandarin would be fluent enough to do away with translators and communicate directly with his fans. By then, the eels are in luck! This day will come and it is worthwhile to wait for it! On that note, many artistes also requested their fans against photography in the concerts. For example, Soda Green and Wallace Chung.

2. Communication: Safety comes first. Do not follow the car. Let’s promise

Regarding the trend of many fans renting cars to chase after theirs, Jang Keun Suk also tried to communicate to everyone in his Cri Show. He pleaded everyone not to follow his car closely as it was very dangerous. He tried to educate and told the eels to be rational. He warned against the eels’ actions for their so-called crazy love and, thus, losing the sense of rationality, ignoring their own safety, others’ feeling and causing inconvenience to others. He made a pact with his fans during the Cri show. He tried to analyse the situation in another perspective. He told them if they continued to behave in that manner, he might not be able to go China anymore. He asked them if they would wish for that to happen.

Nevertheless, many still tailgated his car, according to Jang Keun Suk’s weibo and the feedbacks of many fans. Just last night, those sasaengs followed closely behind his. Not only that, they went to where Jang Keun Suk and his crew had their meals. Due to safety reasons, they were almost asked to leave without even having a chance to get a proper meal. Jang Keun Suk posted a photograph whereby the headlights of the car shone directly into his and that affected their driving. Eventually, Jang Keun Suk deleted almost ten of his Weibo posts. The situation did not end in a happy mode. So now, I would like to take this opportunity to advice all fans. Pursuing an idol must be rational. For a star like Jang Keun Suk, born in the year 1987, who has been so hardworking, shower him with love by being more rational. Absorb all the good points from him, grow with him. Now that is the biggest support you can give him. Oh come to think of it, during the Cri Show, he used Mandarin and said, “No piracy!” Ha ha, he was too cute. This is also a way to support him!

3. 20th Anniversary. In search of the forgotten self.

The whole concert was based on the theme of circus in three different settings. I could not remember the exact details of the concert. In short, it is to present the nostalgic memories of his childhood. Looking back, animation was used to present the forest, the particular tree, that butterfly, those stars like that of a beautiful childhood. 20 years flew past, a little regret on his part that time flies so quickly. It probably depicts the agony he is facing as an artiste for all these years being in the industry. However, he was still so sincere. He participated in the planning and execution of the concert to show his sincerity. In view of the language barrier, there was translation on stage to help him in communicating with his fans. The whole design of the concert was also thought of by him. In my opinion, he is, among all the artistes, someone very precious. His smiles are still filled with innocence!

4. Most important motto in life is to conquer own self.

I think that this concert is the most holistically planned programme. The dark, evil and desires of human beings were signified through the dance, animations, music and the use of black and white images reflects the direct contrast of the kind side of human beings. The black and white Jang Keun Suk is to present the two sides of him. From the VCR, we could see the white angelic Jang Keun Suk walking towards a magic mirror. Inside, he was in black reflecting his dark side. His expression was unpredictable – at times sullen, at times evil. In the middle of the stage there was a very sophisticated sunglasses. In it, there were many different changing colours, wavy lines and the struggles to represent the struggles for desire in human nature. The most exciting part was when Jang Keun Suk wore a black outfit and was hung high in the air by force. Struggling in the air, he stopped in front of a red huge spider web. Before this, from the VCR, we saw a scene where Jang Keun Suk in white falling onto a huge spider web.

In my opinion, there are two interpretations. The web symbolises the desires. The space of desires is filled with desires, human justice and evil, beauty side of kindness and dark side of evilness. To symbolise that, it consists of an angel and a devil. The angel and the net which symbolises desires repelled. Vice versa, the dark angel is attracted to the net. Ultimately, the combination of two in the three-dimensional space of the human body depends on the struggle between the two. If the white angel wins, then it will move further away from the web. The dark angel finds it difficult to move closer to the net because of the retaliation by the angel. We did not just see the struggles between the two. The angel represents positive energy and the negative energy of the devil will cancel each other out. Independently, the energy will be multiplied.

Another explanation can be that the web symbolises ambitions. The body wants to get close to it but angel and devil are in human body. This represents the ideal and realistic aspects. The success of such ideal proximity depends on the results of the struggle. Whichever the explanation will be, we must conquer ourselves. We are our own master!

As an idol for the young generation, Jang Keun Suk’s messages to his fans in his Cri Show were always about hard work and improvements. Allow me to share something worrying. The artistic aspects showed certain images which were scary and gloomy. I guess that was the need of the performance. I believe the ability of his fans to be able to differentiate between positive and negative energy.

He mentioned that this Shanghai Cri Show was planned by him. I goggled and saw the awards won by him. The latest, June 2012, he received a special award at a Japanese short film festival. Jang Geun Suk worked on the script, directed, edited, and starred in the short film. The truth can tell that he works hard based on his talent. I believe this is just the iceberg. He will have more outstanding performances and works dedicated to all in the future. This also gives us the reason to look forward the breakthrough of 1 000 000, 2 000 000 fans and his next self-directed concerts; also the status of being a world prince!

5. If there’s a breakthrough of 2 000 000 followers, I will buy a house in China!

In August 2012, Jang Keun Suk’s Weibo broke the record of 500 000 followers. A record only set by him as an international artiste in China. Jang Keun Suk said, “If the number of followers exceed 1 000 000, I will shuffle at the Great Wall of China. If it exceeds 2 000 000, I will buy a house in China. That way, I can stay longer in China!” His statement excites his fans tremendously. Jang Keun Suk started in 2001. Using what he loves to say, he has been in the industry for 20 years. And he is still improving, still hardworking. We have a reason to believe that he will be rewarded for his effort.

6. Working hard to be a World Prince. So what if it’s not possible?

Now he is the Asia Prince. Then, a World Prince. So what if it’s not possible? This is Jang Keun Suk. “So what if it’s not possible?” this is a way of life perspective. Work towards a target and fought hard. If he puts in effort and he is unable to achieve it, so what? This leads me to think of an old saying – Dreams without mockery is not worthy to be fulfilled. Maybe many people think that Jang Keun Suk is a joke who wants to be a World Prince. So what?

7. The last of the last

If I did not remember wrongly, Jang Keun Suk’s term of “last song” ended up with 4. The very last song he danced with everybody and the atmosphere was super high. This kind of atmosphere is different from us standing at the corner shouting and screaming to liven up the atmosphere. His action showed how he was immersed in the happy atmosphere and thus liven the whole place. You would be drawn into his arena of happiness subconsciously too! He is such an artiste. Soaking himself in the high atmosphere on stage – spraying water to everybody, occasionally threw a towel with his perspirations to his eels, walking to every single part of the T stage, very naturally knelt on the floor to thank everyone, sitting on the elevator, zero proximity with his audiences, the switch between the crazy and soft sides of him, the whole plot with a storyline, occasionally uses different languages to communication with everybody and with the encouragement from the screaming of the fans, he came out on stage and performed once again. I do not know if all these are deliberately arranged or impromptu. In any case, he has presented very perfectly.

And this is Jang Keun Suk Cri Show II. I am very lucky to be able to immerse in all these unforgettable experiences, penning my thoughts to share with all eels.

3. Suggestions to Jang Keun Suk

1. Learn Mandarin by hard. Sing Chinese songs.

Strictly speaking, I’m not an eel. It was because of my work I came to contact with Jang Keun Suk. Many songs in the concerts I do not understand. However, I appreciate those songs through the melody. I feel that the songs for the concert are not very suitable to boost the excitement. Most of the songs are from dramas. I did some random interviews and it seems like most people know the songs he sang. From what I have gathered, 27th April 2011, Jang Keun Suk released his first album in Japan and on the very same day, it reached the top of the Oricon Chart, breaking Asia records. I do wish to see more original works and songs which can be sung as a classic like I believe.

2. Practice his dance steps. Dance better in future.

As I can see from the live concert, Jang Keun Suk’s dance steps were more casual and simple. Hereby I would like to suggest to him to learn from some dance instructors to practice the dance steps which are more suitable for him. This would add more excitement to the eels, in a way, a reward to his eels so as to pursue his dreams in the music industry.

3. Train hard for more muscles. Too skinny now.

From what we observe, his legs are super, super skinny. The skinniness does not match his height. From Baidu’s personal particular details, he is 180cm tall and weighs 63kg. Obviously he is too skinny. However, close up observation does not seem like he is 180cm tall.

4. Continue to be true to himself

Without this fact I would not be writing so much about him. To be frank, there is a lot of his works I have not seen. I have watched “You are beautiful” and “Baby and I” but this does not hinder me from supporting him. He is born in the year 1987. Han Han is from the year 1982, Liu Xiang is from year 1983. These same age people achieved success in their own field. I applaud for them at the same time, absorbing their positive energy for myself, a step to success. Come to think of it, the people I like seem to have a common trait!

5. Continue to move forward.

Don’t let your talent in directing to be let down the drain. Fighting! There will be more room for improvement. Take your time. The road ahead will be tough so continue to work hard!

[Fan Account] 7/22/2012 YOKOHAMA CRI SHOW2

Time flies. I can’t believe it was only about 10 days ago. As I told you in ECI just a day before I attend the show, it was a literally miracle that I could go to YOKOHAMA CRI SHOW2 with my mother. And, amazingly the miracle became bigger when I found our seats at the venue!

Before sharing my FA on that day here, I’ll share my post on ECI on July 22th midnight. See the below.

“OK. It’s about time to bed, but before that, I’ll share my story about CRI SHOW2. It’s a kind of long story, but to start with the conclusion, I managed to get a ticket for Yokohama CRI SHOW2 tomorrow with my mother!!!! I don’t remember how many times I tried to get the tickets… about 8 times? I don’t know… Anyway, I finally got the chance to attend the show very yesterday. As you know, the tickets were all sold out. But after the venue setting was fixed, some seats were decided to go on sale. It was the final chance. And I did it!!! The seats were said to be limited in advance, so I might not be able to see the stage as the same as the seats of my Saitama arena. But it’s OK for me. The most important thing for me is I can attend the show with my mom!!!


OK, I have to add another story. To tell the truth, I already got some tickets for CRI SHOW2 during pre-order period. Applying for tickets before it goes on sale officially is a privilege of Japan official FC members. To apply for the ticket in advance, my mother became the member, too. But we failed…  Yokohama is the hardest place to get tickets, because it’s nearest from Tokyo. Yes, even though we’re official members, we can’t get tickets easily… As for me, I also applied for other places such as Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka because we could apply for the pre-order only once, so I didn’t want to miss the chance. So I applied for all venues, I mean 8 stages (2 stages, each venue). And I got 5 of them. But, honestly I couldn’t feel happy in my heart… So I decided to keep this fact secret until I got tickets for us, mother and me. But I failed over and over… so I finally told the truth to her about a week ago. She said it’s OK if I can go to see Sukkie. But apparently she looked disappointed… *sigh


Under these situation, I found the final selling and I succeeded to get 2 tickets yesterday. Honestly I can’t believe I can go tomorrow even now. But when I told her about that, she was sooooooooooooo excited and looked very happy. Seeing her smile filled my heart already. Now she went to bed earlier after using facial mask for tomorrow show. So sweet mom, isn’t she? I’m typing with facial mask, too! lol. In conclusion, I’m sooooooooooo lucky to attend 6 stages on his CRI SHOW2. I’m happiest but I have to work hard and save money.. lol.


The following is my schedule.
July 22: Yokohama (with my mom! bad seats… though)
Sep. 14: Osaka (not sure where my seat yet)
Sep 19 & 20: Nagoya (not sure where my seat yet)
Oct. 6 & 7: Fukuoka (not sure where my seat yet
That’s all I want to share today. Sorry I’ve kept them secret until now. Now, I try not to get too excited. Being cool-head until just before the show starts is my style. I’m not confident, though  ”

As I mentioned above, the ticket I got was “limited eyesight seat with prior consent”. This means buyers have to accept it if they can’t see the stage well because of the production or the equipment. So I supposed our seats as bad ones… As I got them as the final chance, the very day before the show, buyers including me had to get the tickets on site. The tickets were distributed at random, and surprisingly I got the nearest seats ever from the stage!!!!!


Below are the views from my seat. My seat was second row. It was very next to the stage, so I couldn’t see the stage from the front, but still the distance between Sukkie and me was very very close!!!

Can you imagine how excited we (mom and I) were when we found out our seats??? We went down the stairs to find our seats, checking the number on our tickets. Our eyesight became closer and closer to the stage… Really?? I checked our seat numbers again and again, and found it was true.

The fact was too unbelievable for us. I couldn’t believe this luck until the show happened and saw Sukkie in person.

To tell the truth, I couldn’t remember this show well… Because I was too excited and I was anxious about if my mother enjoyed the show, I couldn’t memorize the detail. So I was much helped by other Japanese eels’ fan accounts to remember what happened and what Sukkie said on the stage. And gradually I’ve become conscious. lol.

OK, let’s get back to the subject. I heard there was no interpreter service at Seoul CRI SHOW2. For international eels, it must have been hard to understand what Sukkie said on stage. If the show had been held in foreign countries, he would have spoken English, but it was held in Soul, his country. Therefore, he intended not to use English, but to use Korean for Korean fans. Because he is made in Korea! This time, he spoke Japanese without an interpreter as usual. So I could understand what he tried to say to us eels. In this Fan Account, I’m going to share what he said mainly.

(Sorry I couldn’t see the stage from the front, so as a show, I coudn’t fully understand the production. Maybe, next time.)

-> It was so funny! It means there a lot of the audience in the venue.

JKS: I’ve been to Yokohama before. In 2010, as my fan meeting. But this time I’m here as a singer, not as an actor or artist today. I finally released my own album. So it’s a concert of who has his own album. Please enjoy my concert!

-> As he calls himself a singer, he focused on singing this time. Less talk time. Totally different form the last arena tour. Sukkie revealed he tried not to speak much after the opening show (the first day), he kept silent and drank only water to prevent his throat from being hurt. So professional! And thanks to that effort, his singing voice was perfect!

JKS: I know eels’ life is very tough and hard. Everyday with anxiety. It’s like a roller-coaster. I know how much you’ve been anxious about me, so please wash away your worries listening this song.

-> Then, Sukkie sang “Rain”. He all knows our feeling.

JKS: I released my first album about a month ago. I thought the theme color (purple) is important. As I had been busy shooting at that time, I had little time for the promotion. Nevertheless, you made it No.1 on Oricon chart. I really appreciate your support.

-> Sukkie always bows very deeply. Just seeing his bow made me cry.

JKS: Don’t fight against others. Rather fight against yourselves. My rival is only me. You’re the same. Do your best to think you’re your own rival.

-> Sukkie said the same thing when appearing on Sukkiri. His rival is himself. He loves him and at the same time hates him.

JKS: Which do you prefer, I dress in black or in white? I like both, but I think black is cooler. It’s simple, stylish and charai (frivolous)! I’m not charai. I’m very charai! lol.

-> As you all already know, one of his favorite Japanese words is now “charai”. It’s very hard to translate into other languages. It’s not a good word, only used by younger generation. “Charai” people don’t care their future. they just enjoy this moment. They are smooth talkers and good at entertaining others. They like hunting girls. Something like that. I wonder who taught him such words!?

JKS: The other day I appeared on Sanma-san’s TV show (sanma-no-manma). He taught me, “Being vigorous and healthy is above everything else! (Yappa, Genki-ga-Ichiban-ya!)”

-> Sukkie seems to like this phrase. He said it a lot during the show.

JKS: To tell the truth, I have some favorite phrases recently. When I say “So-da”, you’ll say “Ne~”. OK?

-> Then we demonstrated “so-da-ne” again and again. Don’t forget when he says “Ne~”, you have to bend your neck to the right, not left. Sukkie pointed out the mistake when he found in the audience. And we also demonstrated “Jyo” and “Zikzin~!” When we tried to demonstrate “Jyo~ Zikzin”, he entrapped us posing the fist and changed suddenly “So-da-Ne~” and said “Don’t you still know what I am?” So mischievous!

JKS: What is your dream you had in childhood? It can’t be eels, right? lol. My dream was to be Asian Prince and fortunately I am now. Wherever I’m introduced on TV and in newspapers, “Asian Prince” is added to my name like “Asian Prince, Jang Keun Suk.” My dream is now to be World Prince. It’s not important if I can realize it or not. I declare it for inspiring me. If it’s a dream, my resolute intention, I want to promise it and keep our promise, doing my best toward my dream. Like me, I want you to have your own dream.

-> He mentioned that his next dream is to be World Prince. We international eels support him more and more!

JKS: How many eels attended last arena tours? Almost? You must have remembered the original song I sang then. Next song is “In My Dream”. I want to keep this song so that I wrote the lyrics and included my album. I wrote the lyrics and music, so as long as you listen to this song, I’ll get money! lol.

-> Before singing “In My Dream”, we sang together the original song. The lyrics are as follows; Yesterday, Nagoya~ Today, Osaka~ Tomorrow, Saitama~ Next month, Tokyo Dome~! Perfect, JKS~ Great, JKS~ I’m genius~!! And the guitar he played at YOKOHAMA CRI SHOW was a present from Japanese eels. He thanked them about it.

JKS: This year is my 20th anniversary. I’ve been often asked how I feel about that. But for me, the next 20 years matter the past 20 years. Please keep up your support.

JKS: I have a lot of things I want to do. I’ll do additional Saitama tour and Europe clubbing tour as Team H. And I want to hold dinner show in Japan as well as in Korea. I’m not sure I can hold them, but I just want to. At dinner show, I want to share my old stories with you. I’m planning to invite special guest, my parents! No fee! Of course, I want to have a girlfriend and get married. But I don’t rush now. I’m working hard to realize my dreams in the future.
-> About dinner show, he said it must be a small venue. So if he realized this attempt, very few eels could attend there. How they will be chosen??

Off-the main report. I heard he came to the venue driving a convertible by himself to show him to waiting eels outside the venue. I’m sure he’s the only artist who provides such fan services. You can see it from the fact he suddenly planned Guen Cup in public appearance. He loves his fans so much. But on the other hand, he hates to be touched by others, even fans (Please see the NOTICE on this blog). We shouldn’t confuse his public time and his personal time. As you already know, after this magical show, Japanese sasaeng fans chased him…  Why can’t they be satisfied with having a great time with him? They must have left the venue before the show ended for preparing the chase. I was so shocked to read his angry tweets after I returned home.


Anyway, to conclude my FA, this show was one of the best concerts I ever attended among other artists. His singing voice is perfectly great even from the view of singers. He has many faces, but this time he’s truly a singer Jang Keun Suk. For me, it’s a very new experience to consider him as a singer. Next time, I want to see the stage from the front and enjoy the show with the productions!
