On December 22 and 23, Jang Keun Suk covered an entire page of the International Herald Tribune in celebration of Jang Keun Suk’s 20th anniversary since his debut.
27 fanclubs from all over the world presented the advertisement to Jang Keun Suk.
When he was 21, Jang Keun Suk attracted attention for writing in his blog that when he ever has a chance to be in Paris again, he planned to parody a movie and walk down the Champs Elysees while holding a newspaper and a wine bottle and yelling, ‘New York Herald Tribune!’
Jang Keun Suk kept his promise this past July, posting up a picture of himself with a wine bottle and a newspaper. The advertisement event was a reply to Jang Keun Suk from his fans.
After learning about the gift, Jang Keun Suk stated, “Because the International Herald Tribune means something personal to me, I’m greatly honored to be a part of it.”
He added, “I was also very shocked and touched that Asian fans and fans from worldwide gathered together to create this special event. I will do my best to continue marching forward to pay back for the love that I’ve received.”
The International Herald Tribune in an international newspaper written in English and is based in Paris and affiliated with The New York Times Company. The newspaper is distributed to more than 160 countries worldwide.
