It looks like Jang Keun Suk′s CD-shopping spree has paid off as his first studio album Just Crazy has claimed the number one spot on Japan’s Oricon Weekly Chart within a week of its release on May 30.
Jang Keun Suk’s album topped the Oricon Daily Chart just a day after its release, and with 88,000 copies of the album sold already, Jang Keun Suk has stolen the top spot on the weekly chart.
Jang Keun Suk is the first male solo artist to top the chart with a debut album in eight years and the first foreign male solo artist to rank number one with a debut album ever.
The Prince of Asia is not new to the Oricon charts, however, as Jang Keun Suk’s first single Let Me Cry topped both the daily and weekly charts when it was released in April of last year.
Jang Keun Suk will set off on his tour 2012 Jang Keun Suk Asia Tour — The Cri Show 2 in July, beginning in Seoul before making his way through Japan’s Yokohama, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka as well as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Taiwan and Thailand.
